Democrats Use Pandemic As Cover For Partisan Agenda

“When we resume session tomorrow in Albany, we have an opportunity to put politics aside and focus on rebuilding our economy, supporting our small businesses and getting more families back to work as quickly and safely as possible. Our Assembly Republican Conference has been busy over the past ten weeks promoting legislation that would provide small businesses with hundreds of millions of dollars in new state aid, help our farmers get back on their feet and protect emergency healthcare workers.

“Unfortunately, the Democrats seem to have other priorities. They’re pushing an unconstitutional bill that would put the absentee ballot process online, opening up the door for widespread hacking and voter fraud. Even worse, Democrats are considering bringing a bill to the floor that would spring dangerous felons from jail with no parole supervision requirements.

“We’re working to recover from an unprecedented public health and economic crisis. My message to my colleagues on the other side of the aisle is simple: this is not the time for radical, partisan legislation. This is the time to come together and help rebuild our local economies and support our local communities,” said Kolb.
