Assembly Republican Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,I,C-Canandaigua) is pictured (center) accepting the National Federation of Independent Business’ (NFIB) 2010 “Guardian of Small Business” award from NFIB State Director Mike Elmendorf (left) and Assistant State Director Mike Durant (right). The award was presented to Kolb for his support of small business and strong voting record with NFIB over the past two years.
Kolb, former President of Refractron Technologies and co-founder of the North American Filter Corporation, is recognized in Albany for his ongoing fight to help independent businesses flourish in New York State. The Assembly Republican Conference’s “Small Business Improvement” and “Small Business Relief” acts would reduce the tax burden on businesses, lower energy and health care costs, eliminate harmful regulations and provide incentives for job creation and retention.
