New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C-Canandaigua) (far left) is pictured at the grand opening of the Finger Lakes Community College Viticulture and Wine Center in Geneva. Joining Leader Kolb was New York State Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul (middle left), Finger Lakes Community College President Dr. Barbara Risser (middle right), and Sen. Mike Nozzolio (right). The center is located in the Cornell Agriculture and Food Technology Park and is the first in the Northeast to offer programs related to tourism and the wine and grape industry.
As an FLCC graduate, Leader Kolb is thrilled that his collaboration with Sen. Nozzolio helped secure $3.2 million in state funding to make this project possible in 2013. Now that the center is up and running, the Finger Lakes Region will continue to thrive and produce quality goods, generate jobs and achieve greater innovations in agriculture research and development.
