Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,I,C-Canandaigua) will be a guest TOMORROW, Saturday, May 1 at 7:35 a.m. on WSYR Radio’s “Central New York’s Morning News” with host Jay Fishman to discuss the late state budget, which is currently one month overdue.
Kolb will enumerate his recommendations for a responsible, balanced budget, including the collection of sales taxes on cigarette purchases made on Native American lands by non-Native American Indians, which could generate an estimated $600 million in revenue. Additionally, Kolb and the Assembly Republican Conference are calling for a real property tax cap and state spending cap to control the future growth of tax levies and government spending.
